City Council Goal 2

Implement the Economic Development Strategic Plan

Goal Overview:  The City Council adopted a comprehensive Economic Development Strategy in 2006 to guide the Council, staff, business groups, and the community in providing for continued economic growth and long term economic health of Shoreline.  This goal provides for continued implementation of priority strategies outlined in the plan.

Major Objectives:      

  • Develop a comprehensive small business assistance program
  • Work in partnership to develop a "Transit-oriented Development" plan for the Aurora Park and Ride Lot at N. 192nd Street
  • Develop a Green Business Certification process, including partnering with the Shoreline Chamber of Commerce
  • Work with the Economic Development Advisory Committee to identify recommended priorities
