Residential Parking Zone
Residential Parking Zones have been created to help ease parking congestion in residential neighborhoods. These zones help discourage long-term parking by non-residents on residential streets.
A parking zone may be appropriate where the parking congestion is caused by being near a business district, a hospital, school, or factory that have limited on-site parking. However, a parking zone is not appropriate where residents themselves own more cars than there are parking spaces available.
Currently there is one residential parking zone in the City of Shoreline, located south of Shoreline Community College.
If you have any questions about the Residential Parking Zone program, or need to obtain or renew your permit, please contact Traffic Services at (206) 801-2433.
