Million Stair Challenge begins June 1
Shoreline park users surpassed all expectations last year by climbing over one million stairs at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park in only 25 days. The City is challenging residents again this June to beat last year's final tally of 1,238,384.
Pool closed for boiler repair
The Pool will close on Saturday, May 11 for a minimum of one week to install a new boiler. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to reopening as soon as possible with warm water, showers and air.
Shoreline Farmers Market opens June 15
Shoreline Farmers Market will kick off its second season on Saturday, June 15 at Shoreline City Hall. The Market still has a limited number of spaces available for local artisans, cottage kitchen operations, non-profits, and musicians.
Council enacts plastic carryout bag ordinance
On April 29, the City Council voted to prohibit plastic carryout bags at all retail locations in Shoreline. The action is aimed at reducing waste and litter and protecting Shoreline’s environment. The regulations will go into effect on February 1, 2014.
Preventative road maintenance coming this summer
Bituminous Surface Treatments (BST) or chip seal will be applied to 8.4 lane miles of arterial and collector streets this summer in the North City, Ridgecrest, Echo Lake and Briarcrest Neighborhoods.
