Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services

From breathtaking views of Puget Sound to tennis, indoor swimming to nature trails and beach access to skateboarding, Shoreline's more than 404 acres of park land offer a variety of enriching recreation and outdoor experiences.

The Shoreline Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department not only acts as stewards of the City's 28 parks through maintenance and planning, but provides recreation, aquatic and cultural experiences to the community through a wide range of programs.

Are you new to Shoreline's recreation programs? Complete and submit a new account set-up form before registration begins so you can sign up to register online without delay. If you are a returning customer, ask for your existing Family PIN and individual barcode by calling (206) 801-2600. If you prefer to register by phone: for aquatic programs call the Shoreline Pool at (206) 801-2650, for all other programs call the Spartan Recreation Center at (206) 801-2600.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available for youth and developmentally disabled programs. Please call the Shoreline Pool at (206) 801-2650 or the Spartan Recreation Center at (206) 801-2600 for more information. Download the scholarship application.

Summer Lunchtime Concert Series 2012
We are excited to announce the lineup for the free Tuesday lunchtime concert series this summer, on stage July 10 through August 14. Plus, check out free concerts in parks on Wednesday evenings!
Shoreline Parks are tobacco free
Tobacco-free parks help reduce exposure to second-hand smoke and reduce pollution from cigarette butts, which is one of the main sources of litter in public places.
Sheep, llamas and goats help with vegetation management
Don’t be surprised if you see goats, llamas, and sheep eating grass and invasive weeds in and around several City surface water facilities over the next several weeks. They're hard at work!
City takes steps to become a Tree City USA
In response to resident support for Shoreline's urban forest, the City Council has taken the first official steps toward becoming a Tree City USA.
Community Garden spaces filled
Registration for plots in the City's new community garden at Twin Ponds Park began on Thursday, March 15 and filled the same day. Applications for a waiting list are still being accepted.
