Planning & Community Development (P&CD) is responsible for land use and building permit services and long-range planning programs. The mission of the department is to ensure that the natural and built environments are healthy, safe, and reflect the community's vision by providing exceptional customer service, listening to our customers and proactively solving problems.

Permits Planning
P&CD performs intake, issuance and review of all building and land use related permits as well as provides inspections and approval of conditions for all permitted work. With input from the community, P&CD works on projects and plans that guide Shoreline's future growth.
