Shoreline's Public Works Department improves and maintains the City's facilities, streets, sidewalks and drainage systems. New facilities and improvements are planned and built through the Capital Improvement Program. The Operations Program maintains and operates the City's street, drainage and facilities infrastructure, and also provides right-of-way management. |

The Operations and Street Maintenance Division of Shoreline's Public Works Department is responsible for keeping the City's roadways, sidewalks, vegetation, rights-of-way and drainage system in good repair. Fleet, facilities and city property are also managed by the Operations Division. |

Transportation Services is responsible for addressing and enhancing traffic and pedestrian safety, as well as planning for long-term transportation improvements. The Aurora Project, the Neighborhood Traffic Safety Program (NTSP) and the Street Light Program are all segments of the City's Transportation Services Division.

The CIP is a multi-year plan for capital expenditures needed to restore, improve and expand the City of Shoreline’s infrastructure, which includes roads, sidewalks, trails, drainage, parks, and buildings owned and/or maintained by the City. The plan details the work to be done for each project and an expected time frame for completion. |
