Location: Shoreline City Hall - 301
17500 Midvale Ave N
Shoreline, Washington

Diggin' Shoreline Board meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month, in room 301, at City Hall. We have a public comment period from 6:40-6:50. All are welcome to attend!

Diggin’ Shoreline is a grassroots organization of community-minded folks who share a vision: people throughout our city inspired and nourished by gardening in community, with deep connections to our earth, our health, our cultures, and our neighbors.

Members of our organization come from different decades, lifestyles, experiences, cultures, and politics. Some work the soil, some have land to share, some have a passion for designing and building gardens, some love to teach. We are united in our mission to foster in Shoreline, a healthy urban environment and sustainable food system by educating, networking, sharing resources, and creating community gardens.

Community gardens can take many forms: demonstration and education centers, traditional p-patches, cooperative ventures; permaculture systems, healthy native habitat for local flora and fauna, orchards or simply a small spot of flowers, herbs or veggies. Then can take root on both public and private property, in city parks, at churches, on school grounds, in parking strips, and on vacant lots. Community gardens bring people together, develop neighborhood pride, help teach children about where food comes from, feed the hungry, and bridge generations and cultures. The possibilities are endless.

We invite you to imagine the possibilities with us. We meet on fourth Tuesdays at 6:30 PM, Shoreline City Hall, Room 301. Do join us.
