Two Performances
Join us for the fifth annual Dance Recital of Shoreline Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services dance class participants. This program will showcase dancers from winter quarter classes in Pre-ballet, Ballet, eNergi, Youth Jazz, Dance Moves and Irish Dance. Admission is free.

Enjoy the music of local bands, food from local restaurants, games and activities for kids and a walking tour of historic Richmond Beach - all while sampling the tasty produce of this year's Strawberry Festival. Held in conjunction with the May 9-10 Art Show at the Richmond Beach Library. This event is co-sponsored by the Richmond Beach Community Association and the City of Shoreline, also made possible through a grant with the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council. Meet and greet your neighbors and friends along with representatives from the City of Shoreline, Shoreline Police and Shoreline Fire Departments.

Explore and investigate the fascinating world of marine beaches during low tides and observe sea stars, crabs and others who live in Puget Sound. Join beach naturalists for these fun, free and informative beach walks. Dress for the weather. Waterproof footwear is recommended.

Wed, July 23, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Join us for a delightful summer evening full of music, games, food, face painting and a used book sale. Kids will enjoy the pre-concert games and activities in the wide open field at Cromwell Park. The whole family will enjoy the barbeque fundraiser hosted by the Shoreline Fire Department, followed by an evening of music from the group Afrodisiacs. Admission to the event is free, with a nominal fee for food, books and inflatable games.

Are you a student of photography or just enjoy photography as a hobby? The City of Shoreline Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department is looking for photos of people enjoying a Shoreline park, program or facility. Do you have a great picture from a picnic in a Shoreline park, a friend or family member in a recreational activity, or want to take photos that may be published? Send your pictures to us and they might appear in this recreation guide!

After school on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month.
Interested in sports? Want to work out but don't know where to start? The 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month we head to the Spartan Recreation Center where wil will try some weight training then take part in a physical activity such as flag football, basketball, soccer, etc. During this time teens will be taught proper lifting technique and nutrition. Once a month wil will also take trips to different events on a weekend. Pick-up and drop-off happens at the Richmond Highlands Recreation Center (The REC). Permission forms are required for activities. Forms are available at the Spartan Recreation Center and The REC. Participation in these activities is for ages 12-19 years, registration is free!
 
Empowering Youth Everywhere (EYE)

Empowering Youth Everywhere (EYE) is about empowering youth through leadership and organizational skeills. Learn how to develop programs such as talent shows, resource fairs, bandshows and more. Express your ideas in a safe forum for teen issues and have a voice in activities in Shoreline. Community service hours are available. Regular meeting schedule to be announced.

Join us as we look at other cultures and what makes them unique. Check out other ethnicities and subcultures within our own society. This is not a classroom setting. We experience it all through customs, cuisine, music, games, movies, festivals and other celebrations of life. This program will help you understand different cultures by experiencing them.
